meet Hog (the host)
It all started with a ski in/ out lot at Big White,
that was five years ago, that is how long it took to build this
place - two men and some friends.
If I was not working as a boilermaker I was doing
12-16 hrs. a day on the lodge. We even cut the trees off the lot
ourselves!
My partner and I took turns working as boilermakers
or the other one would stay and keep the lodge moving forward. It
was all teamwork, dedication to the project, trusting in your partner
not to give up and financial backing from mom and dad!
The biggest price paid was by my daughters who
never had thier dad to take them fishing and hunting and camping
for the five years it took to build the lodge. They were 10 yrs,
then now at 15 yrs old they enjoy the place too but you'd have to
ask them if it was worth it.
I myself also gave up fishing, hunting, playing
music guitar, banjo, the people who I played with (who all thought
it was too materialistic). Five years with only the struggle of
the building and everyone expecting failure to keep me going.
Now it's done and well worth the effort, every
year there is improvements made and gifts (mostly pigs) to put up
or hang or place.
It's all about getting the word out now so if
there's any musicans out there I have special rates for you and
boilermakers!
There is also good hunting and fishing, hiking,
lots of Canadian wilderness just out the back door as far as the
eye can see. Although i'm not set up for buissness rental in the
summer / fall , but if your determined call me, we'll work something
out.
Special thanks to: Wayne and Sandy, Marilyn and
Jim [mom-dad] ,Wess at Tanglewood, gavin (log beds), Billy, Spud,

the dearest)
and everyone else that helped us along the way , and thank-you Natalia
whom without you would not be looking at this web page.
I hope all you people out ther who rent this lodge
enjoy it as much as the effort that went into the place..
